| Hi. My name's C. L. Freire, but my friends call me Cindy. I'm the author of DAVID THORNE: The Golithian Orbs, an edgy, tween fantasy about a boy's desperate fight to save the life of the first friend he has ever had....a man charged with murder. The book will be released on October 1, 2008. Welcome to Elder City, a sprawling metropolis built by and powered entirely by magic.
From the moment David discovers Elder City, he is hunted by the police for invading their realm. Only one man comes to David's rescue, Aramis Grimley.
David is told, during a high-speed chase through the city skies, that he was kidnapped ten years ago, the night his mother was murdered. Now that David has returned, it is imperative that he keep his true identity a secret, as the murderer is still out there, looking for the infant he failed to kill that night.
But how can David remain hidden when every news station is filling the airwaves with reports about his arrival?
Feeling more alone than ever, David comes to rely on the promise that Aramis will protect him. Until, that is, Aramis is arrested for a murder David is certain Aramis is incapable of committing. The police are convinced they have their man, and are doing nothing to find the truth.
Deciding to take matters into his own hands, David sets out on a quest that takes him to places even he knows he doesn't belong. It is a quest that will lead him to more than the truth about Aramis Grimley...a quest to prove Aramis' innocense....to uncover the truth... and to save the life of the first friend he has ever had.You can read about the world by visiting my myspace page at http://www.myspace.com/clfreire or www.clfreire.blogspot.com | |
