Solitary Wiccan

I just would like to offer my services as a Solitary Wiccan. I find it relaxing and entertaining, as well as a vessel to change my life.

I hope that we will all be able to learn together in this class.

Well, it's a nature based religion, and believes in the dual deity of Goddess and God. These Higher Powers or "Powers That Be" as I prefer to call them in general, can be called by many names, even those of traditional religions. It is more feminine based though.

Wicca can go into a number of different things, from meditation and psychic pursuits to divination, tarot, runes, herbology, gemstone and metal magick, creating tools and talismans, ect...

I am just now getting into the history of it all, but it has deep roots in Shamanism and Druidism. It also is very similar to Native American beliefs.

The golden credo is "Harm None"... another is "We do not mock the beliefs of others".. and the main goal is to "Know Thyself"...

I have some vague teachings that I am beginning, forming into workbooks that might be published some day, on Writing.com.
